Metro Trains is seeking a Document Controller to join our team as a member of the Level Crossing Review Group (LXRG).

Your mission as Document Controller is to assist our projects division, specifically the Level Crossing Removal Project, with efficient document control and records administration, while also contributing to the creation and enhancement of the document control procedure.

This full-time position is given on a 10- to 12-month contract, based at our headquarters in the CBD.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and distribution of records/data management systems
  • As required, compile, document, and disseminate reviewer feedback and complete future document updates.
  • Comply with all statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Establish working ties with stakeholders and guarantee compliance with document control procedures.
  • Provide documentation in the proper forms and manners
  • Manage and maintain the project’s information flow and reporting.
  • Provide comments on system performance

Completions Coordinator

Currently, firm are seeking a Completions Coordinator to assist in centrally coordinating the completions and asset acceptance process for the MTM Metro Tunnel Project portfolio. This is accomplished through efficient administration and enabling the facilitation of asset handover to assure safety, compliance, and network integration in accordance with metro’s specifications.

The Completions Coordinator will facilitate the completion and integrity of asset information in accordance with Metro’s specifications in support of Victoria’s “Big Build” Infrastructure Program.

This is a full-time, permanent position largely based in Melbourne’s central business district, with occasional travel.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support requirements for asset transfer and acceptance (Operational Completion Certificate (OCC),
  • Project Completion Certificate (PCC), and Final Acceptance Certificate) (FAC)
  • QA documentation and coordination of review/approval and workflow for completed tasks
  • Manage the drawing and acceptance of assets register
  • TeamBinder allows you to handle document management of completion and handover materials, as well as workflow.
  • The execution of reports, including compliance with MTM and client reporting standards.

Expression of Interest – Training Officer – Rail Safety

Due to phenomenal expansion, MTM’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Metro Academy, is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for Training Officer positions in the Rail Safety field.

There are numerous permanent full-time and part-time options. These roles will offer material and oversee the assessment process in compliance with the needs of the rail safety training program, business objectives, statutory and regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments. They will report to the Rail Safety Senior Training Lead.

As an MTM employee, you will have access to complimentary network travel.

The primary tasks of a Training Officer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver Safeworking training to internal and external MTM business stakeholders.
  • Deliver SWIRC training to internal and external stakeholders as part of MTM business requirements.
  • Maintain current and develop new courseware for the delivery of accredited and non-accredited
  • Safeworking training in accordance with business policy and procedures and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements.
  • Manage the connection with the student (internal MTM business and third party contractors).
  • Assess students in accordance with business policies and procedures and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Experience in a comparable position, designing and presenting safety-related content is preferred.
  • The following units of competence will be considered: TLIF2080: Access the rail corridor safely; TLIF2081:
  • Perform lookout responsibilities; TLIF2082: Perform hand signaller duties.
  • Experience working on track in the MTM network’s Safeworking space is preferred. (Other Accredited
  • Rail Operators will be considered if the aforementioned qualifications are met)
  • Construction work experience will be highly valued.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (or TAE40110 with a willingness to upgrade to TAE40116) is desired or willing to be completed.
