Maintenance Officer/Relief Bus Driver

Lendlease is seeking a Maintenance Officer and Bus Driver to join its Closebourne Retirement Village team in Morpeth. The position will be Permanent Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

In accordance with the Village Maintenance Plan, the incumbent is responsible for providing first-response general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures, fittings, facilities, and associated structures. This includes cleaning, painting, general upkeep, gutter cleaning, garbage pickup, pool care, basic plumbing, basic tiling, and general repairs as needed.

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following:

  • Relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Capable of managing contractors from request for quotes to task completion documentation.
  • A fundamental understanding of computers for closing out maintenance jobs and managing contractors.
  • Abel will oversee and assume responsibility for the preventative and corrective maintenance program.
  • Valid First Aid Certification or the capacity to earn one.
  • Willingness to study and comply with Lendlease safety procedures.
  • Possessing an LR License, able to drive village bus for community outings as needed (relief), registration inspections & services, and repair needs (Highly desirable).

Food and Beverage Attendant

At the Dee Why Gardens Serviced Apartments, Lendlease has an exciting opening for a Food and Beverage Attendant. You will work a combination of lunch and evening shifts (family-friendly hours) on a Part-Time basis to support our dining room and café. The shifts will be from 11.30 to 14.30 and 16.30 to 19.30. (including weekends).

As a General Food and Beverage Attendant, your primary responsibilities are to assist in our Café and Restaurant area as well as with in-house functions involving the serving of Food and Beverages, the clearing of tables, the preparation of coffee, and the distribution of beverages to our guests.

It is an exciting moment for Dee Why Gardens, which is currently undergoing a massive renovation that will drastically enhance its communal, café, and dining facilities.

To achieve success, you must possess the following:

  • Experience in a comparable position within the hospitality, senior care, or healthcare industries will be greatly valued.
  • Knowledge of the equipment applicable to the position.

Gardener

The staff at Lexington Gardens Village in Springvale has an excellent opening for a Gardener. This position will work Full Time, Monday through Friday (8am-4pm).

Working under the direction of the Village Manager and Assistant Village Manager, you will assist with all horticultural operations, such as grass and surrounding area care. This includes mowing, whipper snipping, weeding, pruning, and leaf/debris collection.

As you will be working alongside a team and a large number of residents, a customer service orientation and a genuine interest in supporting the elderly are required.

To achieve success, you must:

  • Current Australian Driving Permit
  • Gardening expertise with plants, growth patterns, and safe work procedures for fertilizers and other chemicals.
